Hostaway, a Toronto-based property management software company, is moving into the specialty finance market, using its platform to offer small business loans to vacation rental property managers. The loans will be underwritten by Parafin, a company founded by former Robinhood employees, which uses property manager data shared by Hostaway to assess eligibility. The move aims to address the challenge of property management companies securing loans from traditional banks, providing quicker access to financing based on booking data.
