After a $33 billion implied valuation linked to a recent $800 million funding round, Revolut has been tagged as a “super unicorn” in the United Kingdom. Recently, investors have been pouring money into financial technology companies in the UK, attracting more than $5.3 billion in venture capital funding in the first six months of 2021. The UK currently has more than 30 financial technology startups valued at more than $1 billion.
