Nearside, an online bank for small and medium-sized businesses formerly known as Hatch, recently announced it raised $58M in funding. The Series B round was led by Valar Ventures, and included participation from Kleiner Perkins, Foundation Capital, and angel investors. The Series B funding announcement comes after a $20M Series A funding round seven months ago. The company did not share the exact size of its current customer base, however, it stated that it’s increased more than 800% since its Series A.
