Hyphenate, the New York fintech AI company formerly known as Maximor, has raised a $45 million Series A led by Nexus Venture Partners, with first-time investor B Capital and existing backers including Foundation Capital and BoldCap, bringing total funding to $54 million less than a month after its rebrand. The platform gives the office of the CFO an agentic layer that automates workflows across order-to-cash, treasury, GL accounting, procure-to-pay, and reporting; the company says revenue has grown 86x since its seed round and that its agents run work across hundreds of entities, thousands of bank accounts, and millions of transactions, with customers including Groupon. The main objective is to take its agents deeper across the finance function and into strategic finance decisions. Key players include CEO Ramnandan Krishnamurthy and co-founder Ajay Krishna Amudan, former Microsoft finance-transformation leaders, and lead investor Nexus Venture Partners.
