Salary Hero, a Bangkok-based payroll-integrated earned wage access (EWA) provider, has raised a $7.6 million Series A led by Cento Ventures, with participation from Kairous Capital and M Venture Partners, and has increased its credit facility with regional lenders to $10 million. The platform lets employees draw wages they have already earned before payday, alongside financial education and budgeting tools, and works with more than 100 companies and over 300,000 employees in Thailand; employers report 15% to 25% lower frontline turnover. The main objective is to fund Salary Hero’s expansion into Malaysia, where it began operating in the second quarter of 2026, building a local team and targeting 50 corporate partners by the end of 2027 to reduce workers’ reliance on high-cost informal lenders. Key players include co-founders and managing directors Prabhav Rakhra and Jonathan Nohr, who said the financial system in Southeast Asia is broken for the people who can least afford it, and lead investor Cento Ventures.
