Decade, a São Paulo- and San Francisco-based startup founded by former Nubank CTO Vitor Olivier and Thiel Fellow Felipe Meneses, has launched out of stealth with an $85 million seed round — the largest ever raised by a Latin American startup — backed by Greenoaks, Benchmark, and Diffusion. Rather than a traditional robo-advisor, the platform pairs AI with human advisors: each client gets a senior human advisor supported by a proprietary AI model that tracks the client’s full financial context across conversations, and the AI automates analysis of financial statements, holdings, and spending behavior so advisors can make recommendations based on a client’s complete financial picture. The goal is to make personalized wealth management accessible to a broader base of Brazilian retail investors, riding the country’s rapid adoption of digital finance tools like Pix. Olivier serves as CEO and Meneses leads AI development, having previously founded AI startup Hyperplane, which Nubank later acquired.
