Nopan, an Amsterdam-based OPEN BANKING performance platform for account-to-account and digital wallet payments founded in 2024 by former Netflix Amsterdam payments leaders Konstantin Surkov and Nick Ryabov, has raised €7.2 million in total funding in a round led by Newion, with follow-on from Crane and Seedcamp and a group of merchant payments and fintech angel investors. The company holds a payment institution licence from De Nederlandsche Bank and is a Principal Member of the European Payments Initiative, helping grow Wero across Europe. Rather than building new payment connections, Nopan focuses on the optimization layer, routing, bank connectivity, payment method behavior, and operational performance, that makes A2A and wallet payments match the reliability and scale consumers expect from cards, addressing a $287 billion global open banking market projected by 2033.
