Tangos AI, a Tel Aviv-based autonomous AML platform for financial crime investigations founded in 2025 by serial entrepreneur Eyal Azoulay (whose previous startup was acquired by BNY), has raised $20 million in seed funding led by Red Dot Capital Partners, with participation from Leaders Fund, Clarim, Venture Israel, SignalFire, Clutch Capital, Selah Ventures, and a strategic investment from Bright Data. The company’s platform deploys tightly integrated AI agents that run financial crime investigations end-to-end, pulling evidence, testing hypotheses, mapping entity networks, and producing regulator-ready case files with full audit trails, addressing the post-detection bottleneck that still costs banks billions in manual investigator hours annually. The team includes former U.S. Treasury OFAC officials, Israeli intelligence veterans, and AI engineers who have built large-scale autonomous systems.
