ACI Worldwide, a digital payments software company, has acquired Payment Components, a Greece-based fintech firm, to enhance its cloud-native payments platform, ACI Connetic, and expand its Open Banking and AI-driven financial messaging capabilities. Founded in 2014, Payment Components provides software that helps banks streamline account-to-account payments and integrate localized payment systems, currently serving 65 banks across 25 countries. The acquisition—covering the company’s technology, IP, and staff—will accelerate ACI’s product roadmap, unifying A2A payments, card processing, and AI fraud prevention under one modular architecture to simplify global digital payment operations.
