Fnality, a UK-based wholesale payments company using blockchain settlement rails, raised $136 million (£99.7m) in a Series C co-led by WisdomTree, Bank of America, Citi, KBC, Temasek, and Tradeweb, with backing from central global banks and infrastructure players including Santander, Barclays, Euroclear, UBS, Nasdaq Ventures, and Goldman Sachs. The firm launched its Sterling Fnality Payment System in late 2023, enabling instant settlement of wholesale transactions via central bank funds, and now plans to expand into the US dollar and euro markets. Proceeds will fund multi-currency expansion, liquidity management solutions, and interoperability with innovations such as stablecoins and tokenised deposits, positioning Fnality at the center of the evolving institutional digital payments ecosystem.
