Mexican specialty finance startup OCN (formerly One Car Now) is investing $150 million over 18 months to expand its vehicle rental services for gig workers across five major Mexican cities, as well as to support international growth into the U.S. and Brazil. The company addresses credit access issues faced by gig workers through tech-driven risk assessment and flexible week-to-week rental terms, with optional ownership after 36 months. Backed by previous Series A and B funding, OCN is positioning itself as a scalable, capital-efficient mobility solution in underserved markets amid a broader downturn in Latin American venture funding.
