Coinbase Global announced it will be acquiring an equity stake in Circle Internet Financial, tightening the crypto giant’s relationship with Circle’s USDC stablecoin. The move aligns with their existing relationship which involves a revenue share on the interest-bearing liquid securities that back Circle’s USDC. USDC is the second largest stablecoin by market cap at $26 billion.
