One of the biggest e-commerce retailers in China, JD.com, announced intentions to release a generative AI product comparable to ChatGPT, joining a cohort of other Chinese e-commerce titans who have also announced plans for the technology that has generated buzz across the world. According to JD.com, its new ChatJD system – an “industrial version” of ChatGPT – will be made available for retail and financial use, creating content, and enabling human-to-bot dialogue.
