Fission, a blockchain-powered fintech building liquidity infrastructure for tokenised investment funds, has raised a $10 million Series A led by Pantera Capital, with participation from Circle Ventures, New Form, gumi Cryptos Capital, Borderless Capital, and Ari Rubenstein, CEO of GTS. The platform lets eligible holders of supported tokenized assets, spanning private credit, alternatives, and other institutional funds, access capital without waiting for conventional redemption windows, while accounting for investor eligibility rules, transfer restrictions, and compliance obligations; Fission says it has already handled millions of dollars in redemptions. The main objective is to grow liquidity capacity from both traditional and on-chain capital sources, widen the range of tokenised private-market and semi-liquid funds supported, and deepen integrations with institutions. Key players include Fission founder and CEO Jonathan Shaffer, who said “putting funds on-chain is only the beginning,” and Pantera Capital general partner Franklin Bi.
