Stripe has agreed to acquire Parafin, an embedded financial products platform that powers credit offerings for small businesses on platforms including DoorDash, Gusto, Jobber, and Mindbody; financial terms were not disclosed. Since 2020, Parafin has helped more than 60,000 businesses access capital, and its credit portfolio will be added to Stripe Capital, Stripe’s existing financing product for platforms, marking Stripe’s third acquisition of 2026 and 24th overall. The main objective is to give Stripe’s roughly 18,000 platforms a wider range of embedded finance credit products and expand credit access for high-growth small businesses, as Stripe moves deeper beyond payments into financial services. Key players include Parafin co-founder and CEO Sahill Poddar, who said Parafin was started to give small businesses access to modern credit products once reserved for large companies, and Stripe business lead Neetika Bansal, who said platforms are central to Stripe’s mission.
