Kastle, a San Francisco-based lendtech AI platform, has raised $24 million in Series A funding led by Insight Partners, with continued participation from Y Combinator and Commerce Ventures and new backing from Fifth Wall and a group of founders and financial services executives. Kastle builds an “AI workforce” of purpose-built agents that operate across banks’ and lenders’ existing core systems rather than replacing legacy infrastructure, starting with consumer lending, where its agents have already processed more than $1.8 billion in transactions. The main objective is to let financial institutions capture the benefits of AI now rather than after a multi-year systems overhaul, expanding engineering, product, and go-to-market teams and accelerating deployments at banks across North America. Key players include Kastle’s leadership, who said the company gives institutions “an AI workforce that can operate across the systems they already have,” and Insight Partners managing director Rebecca Liu-Doyle, who said lenders “need AI that can reliably complete the work while ensuring compliance.”
