Tarabut, a Saudi-based regulated financial infrastructure platform operating across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain, has secured $50 million in strategic financing from a group of Saudi financial institutions and family business groups, including Riyad Bank, the X-Tech Fund managed by SAB Invest, GIB Saudi Arabia, Zamil Group, and Kanoo Ventures. Tarabut’s platform, which has processed more than 5 billion API calls, connects banks, distributors, and consumers to embed verification, credit decisioning, and financing directly into digital customer journeys under partner institutions’ own brands. The main objective is to accelerate Tarabut’s focus on Saudi Arabia—which it identifies as the region’s largest financial market—particularly closing SME financing gaps by letting lenders complement static financial documents with real-time cash-flow data to speed up underwriting decisions. Key players include Tarabut founder and CEO Abdulla Almoayed, who said the backing gives the company “a strong foundation for its next phase of growth,” and Zamil Investments president Abdulrahman Alzamil, who called Saudi Arabia’s financial sector development an opportunity for banks, family businesses, and fintechs to collaborate.
