TabaPay, the Palo Alto-based money movement platform that serves one-third of American households and is on track to process more than $100 billion in 2026, has closed $155 million in strategic growth financing led by FTV Capital and simultaneously announced its intent to acquire Transact Bank, N.A., an OCC-chartered and FDIC-insured bank based in Denver, Colorado, which will be renamed TabaBank, N.A. and operate under a newly registered bank holding company, TabaHoldings, Inc., subject to regulatory approval expected in Q4 2026. The first-ever institutional investment into TabaPay, the financing will enable the company to qualify as a full-service acquirer across all card network partners and to support additional redundancy and more challenging use cases across digital banking, debt repayment, and all major payment rails including RTP, FedNow, ACH, wire transfers, and card sponsorship. Financial Technology Partners served as exclusive strategic advisor, Reed Smith as legal advisor to TabaPay, and Gibson Dunn as legal advisor to FTV Capital.
