RQD Clearing, the U.S. institutional clearing firm that built its entire clearing operation from scratch rather than layering on top of legacy systems, has secured a $74 million minority growth investment led by Bain Capital Tech Opportunities, with participation from ABN AMRO Clearing Bank and Nyca Partners, to expand across North America, Asia, and the Middle East and accelerate its product roadmap including digital assets and tokenization. Year-to-date, RQD processed more than 543 million ledger transactions, cleared roughly 515 million equity transactions equivalent to approximately $2 trillion in notional value, and cleared nearly 64.8 million options contracts representing $3.93 trillion in notional value. RQD’s existing backers include Gentree Fund and Belvedere Strategic Capital alongside the new investor Bain Capital.
