FIS, the global financial services technology leader, has launched the FIS Embedded Banking Platform, its first EMBEDDED FINANCE offering built specifically for banks, enabling U.S. banks to offer account opening, card issuing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and expense management capabilities directly inside the accounting and business software their corporate customers already use daily, while accounts remain on the bank’s own balance sheet rather than a third-party ledger. The platform launches with pilot banks Cogent Bank, Commercial Bank of California, and M&T Bank, with accounts and payments targeted for Q4 2026, and is available to banks via APIs, SDKs, embeddable widgets, or white-labeled applications depending on the software partner’s preference. The model keeps full customer ownership and regulatory control with the bank while the software partner manages the user experience and FIS powers the infrastructure.
