Velocity, the London-based STABLECOIN treasury and settlement platform founded in 2025, has raised $38 million in a Series A co-led by Dragonfly and FirstMark, with participation from Activant Capital, Capital One Ventures, QED Investors, Coinbase Ventures, Wintermute Ventures, and Ripple, bringing total funding to nearly $50 million since emerging from stealth in May 2025. The platform targets CFOs and corporate treasury teams, rather than crypto-native businesses, by combining regulated stablecoins with traditional banking rails to reduce settlement times, eliminate prefunding requirements, and simplify cross-border money movement without requiring companies to replace existing financial operations. Velocity plans to expand into Africa and Latin America while adding institutional custody and yield-generating features as the stablecoin treasury market moves beyond payments into core financial infrastructure.
