Gentex, an Industry-leading global automotive supplier, has acquired Toronto-based BioConnect to strengthen its expansion beyond automotive electronics into biometric identity assurance, cybersecurity, and advanced access-control systems. BioConnect’s multi-modal authentication platform—used by 1,500+ enterprises and most major U.S. data centers—will merge with Gentex’s recently acquired EyeLock unit to form a unified Security & Access Control division. The deal positions Gentex to integrate biometric hardware and software across regulated industries, enhancing its footprint in high-security digital and physical infrastructure.
