Sola, an Atlanta-based insurtech startup, has raised $8 million in Series A funding led by FINTOP Capital and JAM FINTOP, with backing from 10VC and Georgia Tech, bringing the total funding to $ 11.7 million. The company is building a vertically integrated property insurer, controlling every stage from policy design and risk modeling to claims and tools, reducing reliance on third parties and enabling faster, more objective payouts. Having grown revenue sevenfold since its seed round, launched a flagship wind and hail program, and secured Lloyd’s coverholder status, Sola will use the new capital to scale revenue into eight figures, expand teams, and broaden coverage for homeowners amid rising climate-driven insurance costs.
