Interplay, a venture capital firm focused on Series A allocations to software startups, has raised $45 million for its third fund, Interplay Early-Stage Fund III. The fund will invest in 20 new early-stage B2B, e-commerce marketplaces and vertical software companies, providing small checks ranging from $1 million to $2 million per startup. With the latest round, Interplay’s total funding now totals roughly $140 million.
