Alaska Airlines is set to become the first airline to implement Apple’s Tap to Pay service for in-flight contactless payments. Flight attendants on Alaska Airlines already use airline-issued iPhones for various tasks, and now they will use them to accept contactless payments for onboard purchases. Alaska Airlines will use Stripe Terminal, loaded onto flight attendants’ iPhones, to process these payments. The service is expected to be rolled out across its entire fleet in coming months.
