Bureau, an identity verification solution focused on reducing fraud, has secured a $16M Series A with the addition of another $4.5 led by GMO Venture Partners and GMO payment Gateway. Bureau creates a network of verified identities tokenized behind a phone number. It “maps out” digitally stored information like phone numbers, emails, devices, IP addresses, and checks selfie biometrics, as well as information from government data and AML databases, which is then analyzed to determine fraud risk.
