Andreesen Horowitz announced it will be setting up its first office outside of the US in London, relocating one of its four crypto-investment General Partners, Sriram Krishnanre, to the new digs, with additional personnel slated to transfer once the office is up and running. a16z has praised the UK’s approach to cryptocurrency regulation, and has been vocal about the challenges for the industry in the US given the uncertainty and chaos of US policymakers. The London office will be devoted to funding crypto and digital firms based in the UK and mainland Europe.
