Fetch.ai, a Cambridge, England-based artificial intelligence firm that runs AI learning models on blockchain/distributed ledger technology, announced it has received $40 million in funding. The company is developing tooling with a focus on “autonomous agents, network infrastructure, and decentralized machine learning” to help enable communication and actions between AI applications that make the apps more useful. Interestingly, the raise comes at a time when AI hype and investment is high and investor sentiment in blockchain is low.
