Tink, the Visa-owned open banking platform, will now offer a new feature called Balance Check, which will allow users to easily confirm account balances. This new capability will make setting up direct debit payments simpler for both consumers and businesses. The implementation of Balance Check will help reduce failed payments, fight fraud, and shield clients from fines. The new feature will launch in the UK, Sweden, France, Germany, Netherlands, and Italy. In 2023, Tink anticipates wider implementation of Balance Check throughout Europe.
