Motive Partners, the private equity firm boasting general partner Blythe Masters of J.P. Morgan fame, has acquired fintech-focused venture capital firm embedded/capital in order to develop early-stage fintech startups. Motive Partners established Motive Ventures following the establishment of their strategic partnership with Apollo Global Management. The combined team will have 14 members with feet on the ground in three financial technology hubs – Berlin, London, and New York City.
