Cleo, a British AI- based personal finance chatbot, has hit a $500 million valuation with a fresh funding round of $80 million. The round comes after a $44 million raise a year-and-a- half ago. The funding was led by Sofina with participation from existing investors Balderton Capital and LocalGlobe. With the new funding, Cleo plans to expand their services and increase its workforce from about 140 to 220.
