Kyash, a Tokyo-based fintech platform that provides mobile banking services with full-stack banking technology, raised $41.2 million in a Series D financing round in which Jack Dorsey’s Block participated. Nikkei Shinbun, a Japanese news publication, states the new round brings Kyash’s total funding to approximately $107.7 million. Kash provides users with digital wallets and mobile banking services. Firms such as JAPAN POST INVESTMENT CORPORATION, StepStone Group, JAFCO Group Co., Ltd., Greyhound Capital, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, Limited, Altos Ventures, Goodwater Capital, and SMBC Nikko Securities America also participated in the round. Kash will use the funding to further its business domain and expand human resources.
