JP Morgan has become the first bank to enter the metaverse after opening a lounge, Onyx, in one the the most popular metaverses, Decentraland. The Onyx name references JP Morgan’s current suite of permissioned Ethereum-based services. JP Morgan recently released a report regarding potential economic opportunities in the metaverse, sizing market opportunities at $1T in annual revenue.
